Film is a powerful medium and the internet is providing a growing market and the means of distribution for good movies from a wider range of producers than ever before.

The short films here were made with Grey Lodge Settlement, a community group in Dundee, who run a 'school project' bringing in teenagers from the local secondary schools so they can benefit from alternate activities like filmmaking.

The films feature young people using media in a way that provides a constructive educational experience allowing them to explore the issues that matter to them most.

'Hilltown Blues' was made by a group from Braeview Academy in Dundee who want problem drug dealers cleared from the city's streets.

The second film on the list, 'Discovering Dundee' was made by a group from Morgan Academy, like the first film it has a cross-generational cast, but takes a mystery history tour of Dundee.
